She’s Here

Kamarade

The publication “She's Here” is an extended version of the eponymous digital exhibition catalogue. The exhibition took place at Kamarade in Stockholm and Fotogalleriet in Oslo in 2012. Participating artists were: Antoinette Aurell, Anne Daems, Cecilia Edefalk, Anna Kleberg Tham, Jenny Källman, and Kaja Leijon.

The exhibition brought together internationally recognised artists who address notions of representation and identity construction in relation to the female body. The artists presented in “She's Here” explore questions through the photographic image, playing with modes of representation from the fields of film, fashion, and the art history. An essay by Kathy Battista, Director of Contemporary Art at Sotheby's Institute of Art in New York, and a short story by Belgian artist Peter Wächtler are included in this publication.
