Maja Kölqvist is an creative director, graphic designer, curator and editor. She has been working for brands at the crossroad of design, culture and fashion for almost 20 years.

Maja worked for French Vogue from 2002 to 2005 before being made a senior designer at M/M (Paris). Where she created ads, catalogues, invitations, packaging etc. Fashion clients included A.P.C., Blumarine, Givenchy and Anna Molinari. Maja also designed books for museums and private collections such as the Pompidou, Tate Modern, Musée d’Art Moderne and Deste.

In 2011 she founded her own studio, KÖLQVIST, based in Stockholm. Clients include Gauchere, Byredo, Le Labo, Eytys, H&M, Totême, Carven, Manoush, Maria Nilsdotter, Art and Theory Publishing, and Moderna Museet amongst others.

Creative director for Lula magazine 2013-2015. 

In 2016 she founded HONORE magazine together with Sheila Single, working as its Creative director.


Maja is also part of the contemporary art platform and exhibition programme Kamarade together with artist Anna Kleberg and art-historian Amelie Edlund.
